Missing 63-year-old Birmingham found safe

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — UPDATE (12/17):

Birmingham Police say Vannessa Powell was found safe on Sunday.

The Birmingham Police have requested the public's assistance in locating a local woman last seen leaving her home on Thursday, Dec. 6. Neither her employer nor family members have heard from her.

Vannessa Thomas Powell, 63, went missing after leaving her 86th Place South home in her 2017 Nissan Versa. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a white t-shirt and pajama pants with music note designs.
