Several inches of rain are accumulating from the stoms in West and Central Alabama.

Some locations are under a flood warning including the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa.

"Closed" signs hang in the Park at Manderson Landing to keep people from the sitting area near the river.

The entire area is under water, all that can be seen are the tops of the benches and light poles.

Believe it or not, the flooding is considred minor. According to the National Weather Service, the river is just a few feet over the flood stage.

It is a similar situation in the Moundville area where residents are using boats to get to and from their home and in to town.

Roads like Riverbend are closed due to flooding and taking a boat to the nearby boat landing is the only form or transportation.

Several people took time Monday to drive by the boat landing to see how high the river was.

"My dad used to work on a river boat and he saw it get higher than this and I don't want to see it get higher than this because if it does we may just have a little problem around here," said Camary Knight, a Moundville Resident.

Most of the houses on Riverbend are built on stilts becuase of how often it floods in the area.

The Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency said there have not been any issues regarding flooding reported at this time.

They expect the water level to start to drop in the next couple of days.
