Home surveillance video shows a suspect, identified by the Moundville Police Department as Nathaniel Johnson of Moundville, checking car doors to see if they are unlocked.

Not seen on camera: two other suspects police believe were helping Johnson out.

Nathaniel Johnson was arrested and charged with 19 car break-ins that were reported over the weekend.

4 charges from Moundville Police Department, 8 charges from Hale County Sheriff's Office and 7 charges from the Greensboro Police Department.

Ronald Anderson said the suspects searched his car, but did not steal anything.

"When I came out that morning both of my doors were open on my car. All of the papers were out of the glove compartment and scattered all over the car," Anderson told ABC 33/40 News.

"Historically, they've been hunting guns," said Moundville Police Chief Toby Banks. "They know people leave their guns under seats and in consoles. They targeted vehicles that were open."

Johnson's bonds totaled $125,000. Johnson has bonded out of jail.

Chief Banks said police would like to question the two other suspects.
