HOOVER, Ala. (WBMA) — On Saturday Beto O’Rourke became the 6th democratic presidential candidate to campaign in Alabama this election cycle.
O'Rourke spoke at the Alabama Democratic Conference semi-annual convention in Hoover today.
His keynote address focused on listening to voters in states like Alabama, once thought to be too red for any Democrat to even win.
“I come from a place like Alabama. Texas was thought to be a place too red to count. But then we showed up in every county and won more votes than any other Democrat before.”
O'Rourke joins Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker who have campaigned in Alabama leading up to the primary next march.
