Man and woman killed in boating accident on the Black Warrior River

UPDATE 10:30 : A man and woman in her 20's are the victims who died in a boating collision on the Black Warrior River, according to Moundville Mayor Tony Lester.

ABC 33/40 broke the story before 8 P.M. Wednesday night after confirming two deaths from a two-boat crash near the Black Warrior River.

Mayor Lester told ABC 33/40 there are multiple injuries and multiple people involved in the accident.

Right now the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine Patriol Division will be conducting the investigation.

No names of the victims have been released at this time.

The accident happened about 3 miles south of the Moundville boat ramp.
