Charity Newsies raising money to give children in Central Ohio clothes and supplies

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Extra! Extra! Be on the lookout for volunteers selling newspapers on street corners today.

Charity Newsies Paper Drive starts today, December 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive aims to raise funds for Newsies to fulfill their mission "that no child shall be kept from school for lack of adequate clothing."

Volunteers will be on over 80 street corners in Franklin County selling special Charity Newsies editions of the Columbus Dispatch. All proceeds will go towards helping Columbus City Schools students and other community children.
