Columbus Board of Education accepting applications to fill vacancy until December 19

COLUMBUS, Ohio — On Wednesday, the Columbus Board of Education announced they are now accepting applications for the vacancy on their Board.

The seat became open when current Board member Mary Jo Hudson resigned. In her resignation letter, she slammed the Board for failures an inaction. Hudson's last day will be December 31, 2018.

If you're interested in applying for the open Board seat, you must submit a notice of interest in writing, accompanied by a resume and any other supporting documentation that would help the Board in review.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, and registered to vote.
