Police searching for men accused of aggravated robbery in north Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is asking the public for their help to identify two suspects accused of robbing a Subway restaurant. In a release, police said the two suspects entered the Subway located at 5892 Karl Road at approximately 1:16 pm on February 13, 2019.

The suspects then placed an order, and while the employees were completing the order the suspects jumped the counter.

The suspect in the neon vest pulled a black gun and demanded the employees to open the register. Police said the employees complied with the demand. The suspect in the blue mechanic coveralls stopped a customer as he was trying to exit and removed his wallet from his pants pocket. Police say the two suspects removed money from the register and then fled on foot.

The first suspect is described as a black male, between 30-40 years old. Police say he is 5'8" and heavyset. He was seen in the Subway restaurant wearing a dark zip-up hoodie, blue toboggan hat, neon vest, dark pants, and black and white tennis shoes. Police say he displayed a black hand gun to workers.

The second suspect is described as a black male, between 30-40 years old, and around 6'0" tall. He was wearing glasses, and blue mechanics coveralls. Police say he is skinny and has a dark complexion.
