Charleston teen faces 11 charges after reportedly distributing child pornography

William Lloyd Hepburn, 18, was arrested on charges related to child pornography, according to SC Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Charleston Police Department and Charleston County Sheriff's Office investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children say they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to the suspect.

Investigators say the suspect created and distributed multiple files of child pornography, and also circulated nude images of a minor.

The Charleston man faces one count of felony 1st-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.

Hepburn also faces five counts of 2nd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and five counts of disseminating obscene material to a person under the age of 18, felony charges that carry a maximum sentence o f10 years for each count.

He was released after posting a $225,000 total bond, according to the Charleston County Detention Center.
