CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Criminal Justice is asking for your feedback to help improve the local criminal justice system.
The council launched an online survey to engage with community members before constructing their new 2020 strategic plan.
Throughout the year the CJCC strived to engage with 1,000 community members to help improve their plan.
Their current plan focuses on providing opportunities for officers to avoid using jail time, and ways to help move cases faster through general sessions.
The survey also helps them gauge how well people understand the current criminal justice system.
The deadline for the survey is November 1st.
