John McCririck: Primrose Hill racing pundit dies age 79

Celebrity Big Brother contestant lived in area for more than 30 years

PRIMROSE Hill racing pundit John McCririck has died aged 79, it has been announced today (Friday).

Mr McCririck was the face of British horse racing for decades and appeared on several reality television shows, including Celebrity Big Brother.

With his wife Jenny, who he called ‘The Booby’, the couple have lived in Primrose Hill for more than 30 years.

In Camden, they have campaigned and raised concerns about developments including in 2016 about the Chalk Farm supermarket site.

His family said he had been ill in recent months but continued to make several TV and radio appearances.
