The Iowa caucuses are officially less than a week away, happening across the state on Monday, February 3rd.

Its a race to the finish line for top candidates, including President Trump.

According to a new national poll from Washington Post/ABC, President Trump is seen as a slight favorite.

49% are favoring him to win reelection and 43% are expecting a Democratic challenger to win.

The same poll shows 87% of Republicans believe Trump will prevail, while 78% of Democrats think Trump will not win the election.

The Democratic Party in Iowa says its expecting record turn out on caucus day.

Politico reports state party chairman Troy Price said more caucus-goers are expected this time around than in 2008.

That's when a record number of Iowans participated, launching Barack Obama to victory.
