Albany man sentenced on gun charge

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) A 40 year old Albany man will spend the next 8 years in prison after pleading guilty to a weapons charge.

Back on May 15, Joseph Farmer pleaded guilty to on count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators say back on March 5, Albany Police, acting on a search warrant, recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun and cocaine.

Farmer will also serve 5 years probation.
