Albany school unveils vending machine with books inside

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) - There's a new vending machine at the Albany School of Humanities but it's not just any vending machine.

Instead of dispensing soda and junk food, the vending machine is filled with books.

According to Albany City Schools, students who demonstrate improved attendance, academic effort/growth and show kindness to classmates will earn gold tokens and get to choose their favorite book.

The Albany School of Humanities says they can't wait to welcome students back for another year of reading and learning. Students return to the school on Sept 6.
