A North Texas woman briefly experienced having millions of dollars after major bank error.
The Dallas woman says when she checked her bank account earlier this week, she discovered it got a $37 million bump.
"Were you hoping maybe you had a secret Santa?" asked KTVT reporter Ken Molestina. "I sure did! I hoped someone really gifted us with something like that, like $37 million," Ruth Balloon said.
Her husband called the bank to ask about the deposit that seemed too good to be true. Workers told him it was a clerical error and immediately took back the money.
The bank says it happened during a manual input of foreign currency. Apparently, the exchange rate caused the mix-up.
