AUSTIN, Texas — On the fourth straight day of protests in Austin over the deaths of George Floyd and Mike Ramos, the mood noticeably changed.
Following a weekend that involved tear gas being used to disperse protesters from I-35, demonstrators and Austin Police officers linked arms to march from Austin Police headquarters to the Texas State Capitol.
This comes after a violent day in the U.S. culminating with peaceful protesters in Washington, D.C. being driven away from the White House so that President Donald Trump could cross the street to take a photo in front of a church holding a bible.
