CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-vehicle crash involving a CMCSS school bus Friday, September 21 around 4 p.m. on the 2100 block of Dover Rd. near Papa Rock convenience center.

CMCSS spokesperson Elise Shelton said a car that rear-ended Bus 1317 for Woodlawn Elementary was smoking, so the 55 students on board were evacuated and placed on another bus.

Sandra Brandon, spokesperson for MCSO, said one of the students on the bus sustained minor injuries. An adult and two children in another vehicle involved in the crash were also injured.

Brandon said all of the injuries were minor.

As of 5:30 p.m., the eastbound lanes of Dover Road near the crash site are blocked and the westbound lanes are slow. Avoid the area if possible.

The other vehicles involved in the crash were a Chrysler 300 and and a GMC Yukon.
