The mother of a Bridgeport hit-and-run victim is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in the case.
Iris Seda says her daughter, 20-year-old Ana Sepulveda, was hit by a car driving down Madison Avenue around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Seda says Sepulveda is hospitalized with broken bones and internal injuries. She says she believes her daughter was deliberately targeted by the driver.
Seda says she knows the identity of the hit-and-run driver and has informed police. Investigators say they're using photographs of Sepulveda's wounds to help prove what vehicle struck her, and they're looking for surveillance video taken before and after the impact.
Seda says she's hopeful that a city worker who witnessed the accident will help police solve the crime.
She has confidence that justice will be served, but says the road ahead will not be easy for her daughter.
Bridgeport police are asking anybody who can help with the case to call their tip line at 203- 576-TIPS.
