Police have named a 38-year-old man who died after he was believed to be intoxicated.

Andrew McPherson, of Forres, was discovered on a grassy area in a housing estate in the Moray town.

He was taken to hospital where Mr McPherson was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon.

Police initially said the death was being treated as unexplained in a statement on Sunday.

However, the force now say there are no suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
