Police are hunting a man thought to be behind the theft of a set of bagpipes.

The musical instruments have been found in a garden, but police believe the suspect may have fled.

The theft occurred in Kyle of Lochalsh, and the pipes were dumped in a garden in the village's Main Street on Monday afternoon.

Enquiries are ongoing regarding their theft.

Officers are now trying to trace a man who was seen in the area between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Saturday, September 23.

He is described as being in his 20s with short dark hair.

At the time he was wearing a dark jacket and trousers with a white top or jacket on underneath.
