NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) -Dollar General announced Tuesday morning that 1,100 stores in Tennessee and Kentucky will start selling CBD products.

The company will sell 20 CBD products limited to topical cosmetics such as creams, ointments, bath bombs, bath salts, and face masks. Edible or ingestible products will not be offered.

Following the two states, the store plans to offer the products in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Vermont by spring 2020.

Executive vice president Jason Reiser says the decision is based on demand. “As with many of the products we carry in our stores, our decision to offer CBD products is based on customer interests or demands.”
