A large event party held in Nashville amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is being criticized by some residents.

The Fashion House held an unveiling party on Saturday night at a home on Fern Avenue in East Nashville. The event was "open to everyone," according to a caption on The Fashion House's Instagram post sharing the event announcement.

FOX 17 News was outside of the event on Saturday night, which had large gatherings of people. Several residents in the Hip East Nashville Facebook group criticized the event for its lack of following social distancing guidelines amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Nashville is currently in a modified Phase Two of its reopening plan after reverting back from Phase Three last month amid a continuing upward trend of COVID-19 cases in Music City. Under Phase Two with modifications, an event is to be limited to a gathering size of 25 people.

On Sunday, the Metro Health Department announced 165 new cases of COVID-19 in Nashville, bringing Nashville's total to 21,575 cases, including 4,569 of which are active. There's also been a total of 194 deaths, both confirmed and probable.

As of Saturday, the Tennessee Department of Health reported 108,184 total cases, including an additional 2,225 cases in a 24-hour span. The department also reported a total of 1,067 deaths, 4,724 hospitalizations and 67,651 recoveries as of Saturday.
