NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A group is gathering along Brick Church Pike in Nashville Monday morning in opposition to ICE.
Protesters are calling for rights for immigrants and marching to the ICE headquarters in Nashville. About 100 people were there.
"Never Again Action," a Jewish-immigrant solidarity organization that has mobilized protests throughout the nation, is organizing the event.
"We know that #NeverAgainIsNow. American Jews grew up learning about the Holocaust from survivors in our families and communities. We know what the separation of families, the mass imprisonments, and the creation of concentration camps can lead to. We refuse to wait and see what happens next. We are putting our bodies on the line because when we say never again, we mean never again for anyone. We must take action now to shut down ICE, and we demand that our legislators do the same." Councilman Fabian Bedne is among the crowd, rallying supporters.
