Metro Nashville opening overflow shelter with temperatures expected to drop Monday night

Metro Nashville will be opening an overflow shelter as temperatures are expected to be below freezing on Monday night.

According to Nashville EOC/OEM, temperatures are expected to be below 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The overflow shelter can be accessed from a staging area at The Salvation Army located at 631 Dickerson Pike from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.

Individuals are advised to plan winter shelter options ahead of time. Nashville EOC/OEM is encouraging everyone to utilize Room In the Inn and Nashville Rescue Mission.
