Metro Nashville Police ask for help identifying man who jumped into Cumberland River

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Metro Nashville Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man whose body was found in the Cumberland River.

Police say the man jumped off the James Robertson Parkway Bridge into the river on August 8.

He is described as a black man in his 20s or 30s, stands 5'10" tall and was wearing a light colored shirt with possibly camouflage pants.

The man had no ID on him when he was recovered and could not be identified through fingerprints. The man had tattoo on his right which reads "RIP Man-Man."

Anyone who might know of his identity is asked to call police at 615-862-8600.
