Nashville man arrested in Kentucky for vehicle burglary

A Nashville man accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing a wallet with several credit and ID cards was arrested in Warren County, Kentucky on Saturday.

William Wright, 34, was charged with third degree criminal trespassing, second degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property -- contents from vehicle under $500, public intoxication, first degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and promoting contraband, according to a Warren County Sheriff's Office press release.

Police responded to a theft complaint at 180 Sunnyside Gott Road on Saturday at approximately 3:37 a.m.

Wright reportedly jumped a fence while officers conducted a search of the surrounding area.

He was located near a wood line in the 200 block range of Sunnyside Gott Road.

Wright immediately fled when police announced their presence.

Officers chased Wright through a field before he was apprehended.

During the investigation, police discovered that Wright had several stolen credit and ID cards.

Officers also determined that Wright had broken into the victim's vehicle and stolen a wallet from inside.

Wright is currently being held in Warren County Regional Jail.
