Authorities: Nashville man raped 3-year-old, made 300 images and 20 videos of child

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - A Wilson County man was sentenced to 45 years behind bars for child exploitation crimes.

Cecil Clint Woodard, 42, was sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to 14 counts of production of child pornography, six counts of transportation of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Police say Woodard was arrested at his Green Harbor Court home in Old Hickory in 2016 and had child porn in his possession. During April to June of that year, court documents say Woodard raped a 3-year-old child and "recorded over 300 sexually explicit images and produced more than 20 videos of this child."

Authorities say Woodward had also previously molested a child while she was between 9 to 12 years old. He also reportedly pretended to be a teenager online in an effort to obtain more child porn.

Metro Police and the FBI investigated the case.
