Nashville's average home price has more than doubled in the past decade.

According to RE/MAX and Zillow, Nashville's average home price was $155,000 in 2009 and was $318,000 in 2019.

Even with the increase in price, home sales continue to rise in Nashville. Just last year, home sales went up 18%.

Murfreesboro and Franklin have both shown booming home sales, with sales rising 31% and 34%, respectively, in 2019.

RE/MAX agents believe this home sales trend will continue to boom as more people flock to middle Tennessee.

"2020 will see preparation for the big companies coming to Nashville," Jeff Checko said. "We expect to see an influx of new residents, particularly in the urban corridor. Low interest rates continue to motivate buyers and drive demand."

Zillow says the worth of Nashville's housing market sits at $216 billion and makes up .6% of the national market.
