Nebraska's Census Summit aims to count everyone in

OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42 KPTM) — Nebraska's Census Summit held Friday hopes to count everyone in.

The main people in charge of organizing and pulling off next year's big census count in Nebraska were all in one room today.

A big goal of the Census Summit is to get as many people as possible to complete the census, even the people who can be hard to reach.

Coordinators learned some of the best ways to hire census workers and get people to fill out the form.

This year there will be an option that will allow people to fill out the census form via phone or online.

Officials say they hope most people will complete their census information without needing someone to show up at their door.

The results of the census will affect how much federal money states and counties receive.
