Heading into Friday, 34 Pennsylvania counties are in the green reopening phase. The other 33 are in the yellow phase.

But we've also learned 12 more counties will go to green next Friday, June 12- including several in our area. Wyoming, Wayne, Columbia, Carbon, Union and Northumberland counties are moving from yellow to green in a week.

That means the countdown is on for Jerry Bogedin. He's got one week to get his 21-year-old restaurant in tip-top shape, which means it's time to start wiping down tables and chairs.

Jerry owns the popular Twigs Cafe in downtown Tunkhannock.

"It'll be a stretch for a while, it'll be a stretch. But it's better than what it was," Bogedin said, referring to the 50 percent capacity max put down by Governor Wolf for green phase restaurants.

"I think it's going to take the restaurant industry a solid six to nine months," Bogedin said. "I think people are going to be leery. Do they go places? Are they nervous about going places?"

That's hard to tell now. But we'll have a good feeling real soon.

"It'll make people feel good to be able to go their beauticians," Wyoming County chairman Tom Henry said. "I know at the courthouse, we're all excited. Our whole crew is coming back Monday. It's a good time."

Meanwhile- the state also launched an online dashboard to show county progress- with the four metrics to move phases, which include decreasing cases, hospital bed usage and making sure contact tracing is monitored.

"As we continue to bend the curve, as we continue to see a decline in new cases and of course it depends on the area, a number of the restrictions in green that we have in restaurants and businesses, we will be able to relax," PA Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said.
