Baltimore girl wins National American Miss Maryland Junior Preteen

BALTIMORE (WBFF) A 9-year-old Baltimore girl won National American Miss Maryland Junior Preteen at the National American Miss Pageant.

Sha'Miyae Hinton-Knight of East Baltimore says she loves helping to feed the homeless and she volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House.

According to the National American Miss pageant, "The NAM pageant are for Today Girl and Tomorrow Leaders. The pageant program is based on inner beauty as well as poise, presentation, and offers All American Spirit. of fun for family and friends.

Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition , and setting and achieving personals goals.

The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishments of each girl while encouraging her to set goals for the future ."

Sha'Miyah says that her future plan is to become Miss Universe and a professional dancer in Paris. Her platform is to let inner city youth know that if they work hard and put their minds to it they can make a difference in their community and their dreams of success can come true, no matter how young they are.
