President Trump to visit Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WBFF) President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in Baltimore Wednesday to discuss a nationwide initiative aimed to help the city’s most distressed neighborhoods.

According to the White House, the President will take part in a roundtable discussion with local leaders regarding the Opportunity Zone program.

The program is part of the tax reform law signed by the President last year.

The goal of the program is to spur economic growth and development within distressed communities, by providing tax benefits and incentives to investors.

Forty-two opportunity zones were identified in Baltimore, with the majority of the zones in the western, eastern and southern portions of the city.

The location and time of the roundtable discussion has not been disclosed.
