Jake Milmoe used a walk-off hit to push second-seeded Verona to a 7-6 win over seventh-seeded Caldwell in the quarterfinals of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 tournament in Verona.

Verona (16-9) will host sixth-seeded Lyndhurst in the semifinals on Tuesday.

With his team down by one run with one out remaining in the bottom of the seventh inning, Milmoe hit a double to center field that allowed Nick Kozachuck and Anthony Zamloot to score the tying and game-winning runs.

Verona rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh, as Zamloot hit a line drive to bring Tom Radigan home earlier in the inning.

Caldwell (13-12) took its first lead of the game in the top of the seventh, where it scored three runs.

Verona's Pierce Coppola gave up seven hits in 6 1/3 innings while striking out eight and walking three. Zamloot finished 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs, while Milmoe went 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Charles Tynan struck out five and walked none in five innings for Caldwell. Frank Gencarelli went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
