The Boise Philharmonic is celebrating its 60th season with a historic agreement with the Idaho Musicians association.

The Boise Philharmonic Association and the Local 423 of the American Federation of Musicians announced Thursday that the parties have ratified the first Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), according to a BPA spokesperson.

Over six-months, both parties discussed and defined the terms of their relationship in a new CBA that emphasizes fairness and efficiency. It includes industry-wide best practices for orchestra operations.

"The new agreement sets the stage for ongoing success as the Boise Philharmonic celebrates its 60th season," the spokesperson said.

The CBA ultimately strengthens the continued working relationship between management and the musicians.
