A Middleton mother of six is about to enter the battle for her life, stage four cancer.

Holli Pool recently found out she has stage four Mucosal Melanoma, a rare form of internal Melanoma.

Doctors say immunotherapy is the best option for now. But to Pool’s surprise, the overwhelming support of the Middleton community.

“It’s like the most humbling thing. I always like to say I live under a rock. I just take care of my family. You know adopted kids are hard and that’s the biggest challenge. Up to four weeks ago we thought holy cow, how can we handle this. But it can definitely get worse,” Pool said.

People, Pool says she doesn't even know that well. She is at a loss for words to know this community would create a GoFundMe account, getting #HolliStrong t-shirts made.

People are even bringing her family dinner and the efforts don't stop there.

“They don’t even know me and people have given us so much love and support and prayers. I mean I can feel that just lifting us. So, things that maybe would seem a little bit harder, are not as hard,“ Pool said.

Her daughters dance team at Middleton High school have also come together to sell #HolliStrong t-shirts at football games, just 20 dollars. All proceeds going to the Pool family.

CBS 2 Reporter Alexis Goree sat down with family friends who are helping make all of this happen. Check back in for her full story.
