This fawn was found caught tangled in a fence and was hanging upside down near State Street and Hawthorne off Collister Road.

Animal Care and Control, along with Idaho Department of Fish and Game, recovered the fawn and took it to the Idaho Humane Society for treatment.

Dr. Alix McGrath, Director of Shelter Medicine, gave a veterinary examination on the fawn.

"Thankfully, this young deer only had lacerations and no fractures," IHS said. "We will be sending this little one to rescue so that it can receive continued care with other deer."

IHS also thanked the good samaritans, who spotted the deer and notified Animal Care and Control.
