Idaho's unemployment unchanged at 2.9 percent

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Idaho's workforce continues to stay strong.

The Idaho Department of Labor said Friday that Idaho's September unemployment remains unchanged at 2.9 percent.

The state says 2,906 people made themselves available for work in September. The number of unemployed increased slightly by 136 to 25,626 while total employment grew by 2,770 to 856,588.

Nationally, unemployment dropped 0.2 percent to 3.5 percent in September.
