A man was stabbed over Memorial Day weekend and officers are now looking for a person of interest and a witness to the stabbing.

Boise Police says a female witness walked by two men on May 24 on River Street and had a quick exchange with them before the two got into a fight. The victim ended up with injuries to his hand and face from a sharp object and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It's not clear at this point what the sharp object was.

After investigating, police say they identified the person of interest as Nathan "Omak" Rideb. BPD has so far been unable to track down the 59-year-old.

Anyone with information about the witness or Rideb is asked to call 208-377-6790.
