BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — The body found Thursday in the Boise Foothills near the Dry Creek Trailhead has been confirmed as missing hiker Kyle Crowden.
Boise County chief deputy coroner Mike Johnson confirmed the identity to CBS 2 News on Friday.
Crowden had been missing since early February. There were no signs of injuries or foul play. Toxicology reports will take about four weeks.
According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Crowden's body was found just five miles away from where the missing hiker's car was parked.
The body was found in a deep, thick-brushed ravine, under a tree which was about 30-40 feet off the side of the trail, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The hiker spotted the body with binoculars late Wednesday evening and then hiked upward to get cellphone service and call 911.
