A 36-year-old Challis man could spend up to life in prison for the murder of a 23-year-old man.

KIFI/KIDK in Idaho Falls reports that Ben Savage pleaded guilty to shooting, killing, burning and burying the body of Charles McBride in February 2019.

He was sentenced on Tuesday.

The TV station reported that the judge described the murder as an "execution-style killing." The prosecutor says it was a "cold-blooded murder."

Savage will be transferred to the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Boise. He will be eligible for parole after 22 years, KIFI/KIDK reports.
