Woman found dead after small fire breaks out at Boise home

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — A 64-year-old Boise woman is dead after a small fire broke out inside her bedroom in a Boise area home.

Boise Police says emergency crews were called to a home on the 2600 block of S. Greenwood Circle Friday morning. A woman's body and her dog were found in the bedroom.

The fire started inside the bedroom room in the last 24 hours and it had burned out on its own, investigators say.

The coroner identified the woman as Janet Finney. Her cause and manner of death are pending. Toxicology results may take several weeks to return.

Boise PD is investigating.
