Breezy sunshine and cooler temperatures are in store for Friday. A dry cold front moved through the region overnight and temperatures are now trending 5-8 degrees cooler than Thursday. Highs are expected to reach the mid 80's along the valley this afternoon, mid-70's in the mountain valleys.

This is the first time that Boise has dropped below 90 degrees in the past 3 weeks. The Treasure Valley has seen hot temperatures of 90 degrees or more since July 16th, with our hottest day being July 30th at 105 degrees in Boise. That was just one degree shy of our current record of 106 degrees set back in 2003.

What about the weekend? Dry weather will continue into the weekend with lots of sunshine. Temperatures are expected to hover in the upper 80's for the Treasure Valley. We heat back up early next week, daytime highs should be back in the low to mid 90's by Monday.
