PORTLAND, Ore. — As the coronavirus pandemic is affecting many in the community and worldwide, some are adjusting to the challenges this has brought on.
The Salvation Army wants to make sure that those more impacted by the coronavirus crisis can get the help they need and is distributing food boxes weekly all over the Portland metro area.
“Right now, across the Portland Metro area, many are worried about where their next meal will come from. To help meet the growing need The Salvation Army is proud to partner with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” said Major Bob Lloyd, The Salvation Army Portland Metro Coordinator.
On Wednesday, the Salvation Army distributed food boxes to more than 2,000 people in one day, the largest distribution day yet.
If you are in need, the Salvation Army has partnered with the of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Operation Hope. Throughout the week, they aim to distribute upwards of 1,500 boxes at the following locations
