STAYTON, Ore. — A brush fire threatened a home and a barn Friday evening, according to Stayton firefighters.
The 25-acre fire was called in at around 4:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Manitau Road.
Firefighters said the blaze got close to several structures.
It took them about two hours to get the fire under control. They have since finished mopping it up. From Chopper 2, a burned-out area could be seen.
There was no word on what caused the fire.
In addition to firefighters from Stayton, crews from the Oregon Department of Forestry, Aumsville and Sublimity also fought the blaze.
