Aumsville structure fire destroys barn, shop and storage container

AUMSVILLE, Ore. – A fire destroyed classic cars, motorcycles, saddles and horse tack inside Aumsville shop and barn buildings Tuesday night.

Aumsville Rural Fire District responded to the reported structure fire at 11334 Mill Creek Road SE at 10:53 p.m.

The first responder to the scene reported two buildings, a barn and a shop, were already fully involved.

Aumsville Rural Fire District said the shop and bar contained several classic cars, motorcycles, saddles and horse tack, tools, and other shop equipment. They said there were also propane canisters and fuel cans inside.

Both buildings, as well as an adjacent storage container, were a total loss. Officials say no one was injured.

Firefighters controlled the three-alarm fire in 70 minutes.

Three engines, three brush units, five water tenders, one ladder truck, three chief officers, one ambulance, and 32 personnel responded to the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
