PORTLAND, Ore. – Friday marks three years since Biketown launched in Portland.

The bike-share service first released their orange bicycles around town on July 19, 2017.

Biketown’s goal is to increase access to cycling and to reduce congestion and climate pollution.

The service continues to bring in riders. It reported an overall 87% increase in 2018.

You can help them celebrate at a free event Friday night at Pips and Bounce in Southeast Portland. The event starts at 5 p.m.
