Good Samaritan, deputies rescue golden retriever from Oregon river

Authorities rescued a dog after it was reported she was stuck in the Little Deschutes River near the intersection of Willow Ct and Huntington Rd.

Deputies said they arrived at the scene and found Lucy, a 5-year-old Golden Retriever, near exhaustion and at risk of drowning

Thanks to quick actions from a Good Samaritan and the DCSO deputies, they were able to pull Lucy from the river and transport her to a nearby vet.

Lucy's owners were contacted and will be reunited with her soon.
