Woodburn Police find missing, endangered man safe

UPDATE: Mr. Elliott has been found and is home safe.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Woodburn Police Department is asking for help finding an 84-year-old man who walked away from his memory care facility in Woodburn on Sunday afternoon.

Wayne Norman Elliott was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. near the Newberg Highway and Boones Ferry Road.

He's considered endangered because of "medical and memory diagnoses," and authorities say he may appear confused or disoriented.

Elliott was last seen wearing a tan-colored golfer or fisherman-style hat, glasses, a maroon jacket or red and black checkered flannel shirt and jeans.
