Inmate back in custody after walking away from Salem transition center

UPDATE: From the Marion County Sheriff's Office: "Following an anonymous tip, Ms. Langley was located by the Salem Police Department in northeast Salem shortly after 3:00 pm. Ms. Langley was taken into custody and taken to Marion County Jail.

"She will be facing a new charge of Unlawful Possession of Heroin in addition to charges associated with her unauthorized departure from the Transition Center."

SALEM, Ore. – Deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding an inmate who walked away from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Transition Center on Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, Celina Langley left the transition center at 3950 Aumsville Hwy. SE shortly after 9 a.m. on July 10.

Authorities say Langley, who is considered a transient, was in custody for a parole violation and had a scheduled release date for July 18.

The 22-year-old was described as about 5-foot 5-inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
