PORTLAND, Ore. – Demonstrators are expected to gather in North Portland on Sunday afternoon for “J20” protests, held on January 20 – the anniversary of the inauguration of President Trump.

Demonstrators are expected to gather at 1 p.m. Sunday in Peninsula Park in North Portland. The event is hosted by OccupyICEPDX and Don’t Shoot Portland.

According to Don't Shoot PDX, the march is for their 5th annual Children's March for Social Justice.

“We are calling on the future voice of America to stand up and protect our voices and our lives,” said PNW Youth Liberation Front, who changed the location of their protest to show solidarity with the other groups.

Two years ago, the hours-long J20 protests ended in clashes between demonstrators and police in riot-control gear. Several people were arrested during the evening.

Facebook events for the protest anticipate several hundred people in attendance.
